Well the truck fired up first crank, oil pressure went to 40 psi...Im happy. I have a bit of an exhaust leak though. I painted the engine a bronze gun metal type color. I wrinkle blacked the valve covers, and painted the intake manifold silver. Is there a way to adjust the clutch release point? Mine is very high, the clutch is brand new. I drove the truck around the block and everything seems normal but i wont know until a couple more road tests, BOY AM I EXCITED! It took me a total of about 14 hours from start to finish.

THANKS GUYS!! I took pictures but cannot post them until tonight. I put 20 miles on it so far. I'm very happy with the way it runs minus a little grinding while shifting. I'm going to drain it and put in whatever it requires plus some gm synchromesh fluid. Ive used in my Hondas road race transmissions and it makes them shift like butter. Look for pics tonight!
Just finished adding coolant to her. WOOOOT

Old motor, ive never seen so much sludge and crap inside a motor.

Just the back

Pic of motor. Still have a ton of crap to clean up with degreaser. The block is spotless, valve covers repainted, intake mani, alternator, and bracket. I still need to clean the a/c compressor and get a k&n intake (or similar)
