Default powersteering reservoir problem

hi has anyone had a problem with the pump/reservoir connection? i have in the past month put in 2 pumps and today just changed my rack with new lines. I went to bleed the system out which looked like it worked i had no noise whats so ever until i took it for a quick test around the block to which it started whining again, me already being fed up checked all the lines they were all secure it wasnt till i saw that the connection between the pump and reservoir was leaking. i have looked online everywhere to buy a new reservoir and from what i see you can only buy used from the junkyard or can someone tell me the best way to seal that connection.

Thanks Chris!

Now is it the pressure side or the return? I replaced the pump on mine and used my reservoir which has a large O-ring and other o-rings for the smaller fittings.

I've been battling a p/s whine for a couple months myself lodz08. Cannot get it to go away. 2 pumps, 6 quarts of fluid and every friggin bleeding technique there is....nothing.

So I guess my next course of action needs to be replacing the rack and lines?? I didn't have any issue with my reservoir leaking after installing either pump, I just used the new o-rings that came with it. My only reservoir issue is that the metal screen in it is ripped, so I'm thinking about getting a new one myself.

pretty sure I've read before that the easiest way to get one is the junkyard, I think most places only sell them with the pump, not by themselves. Let me know if you find a place that sells them alone. I will try a new reservoir before I rip out the rack and lines.

I can barely stand to drive the truck with this damn whining. What is the deal with these POS Dodge p/s systems anyway??

no its leaking from the reservoir where the nipple goes into the pump i believe its that plastic seat is bad on it i don't know where to buy it i'm considering buying a new pump with a reservoir on it. and DAKMM i feel your pain i haven't found a place that sells it but on rockauto they sell a acdelco with the reservoir for 95 bucks, if i cant fix that seal problem i will end up buying that one. also my rack was bad after i installed the second pump, it blew the seal in the rack i spent about 6 frustrating hours replacing it.
