98 dakota idle problems
O2 sensors are the answer to almost all the problems on our trucks and they can screw up anything mine the first time was a false contact on it and don't show codes and only the rpm's bounce but now there isn't codes and make that half the cylinders is a v6 don't get gas and the other ones get double gas and was a freaking o2 sensor
I wonder if your charcoal canister has ruptured do you tend to over fill your gas tank you know fill it till it almost comes out the gas fill spout?
I think sometimes you get too much gas in the canister and it brakes open trying to operate so now it’s sucking this charcoal up into the manifold.
Crawl under the truck look at the charcoal canister pull off each tub coming out of it see if black muck comes out of any of these lines if so that’s it.
If that is it you will need a new canister and to flush out those lines you may even need the whole EVAP system replaced.
You should never over fill a gas tank by forcing more gas in it after the gas pump shuts off on you.

Check the connectors to the PCM. I could rock the connector while the engine was running and get it to almost stall. It would act like all the sensors were bad and throw codes that said they were when actually it's just a bad connection. I ended up taking pipe clamps and a dowel and clamping around the whole PCM and across the connectors. This solved ALL my sensor issues.
