Real clean truck. I'd offer 7 and hopefully you can get it down to $7500. I paid $7,000 for mine 3 years ago with 97k miles on it, so the price is reasonable but slightly high now that the truck is 11 years old. Regardless it's a real nice truck and I hope you are able to get it.

Yes, definitely throw in the fact that truck is 11 years old like bpark said.

You know how dealer's always sell it for 25-50% more than what they got it for.

Update:

Test drove the truck today and it is really nice. They service the truck, but somehow they forgot about the GIANT oil leak coming from the front of the engine. I went back and told the salesman and he went and got his "service mechanic", whoops lost that sale.

Oil was coming out of the oil pan gasket AND the whole front of the engine block...

Oh well, gotta find another one.

I have given you input in the Ram forum. I can offer some here as well. I have only owned a 1st gen but I have looked at 2nd gens as well. Also I dont know anything about the 4.7. But I would have to just throw out there that if you are spending 8000 I think you could find a Quad Cab in that price range. Maybe a few more miles but hopefully it wont be puking oil all over. Good luck with your search for a new truck. Keep us updated and of course, pics of the new one!

GREAT point bro! I took my daughter with and she is only 2.5, so car seat is a must, very tight in just an extended cab. We have a family car, and my current Ram is only a regular cab, so anything is better than a RC!

This area of PA right now just doesn't have any decent used rams/dakotas. Most are abused and puking fluids all over. Im not in a hurry to jump into one I dont want, gotta find that diamond in the rough.

I will soak in all the advice I can get my hands on! I am staying with Dodge!!!!

If you have a kid, a QC would be so much nicer. My room mate has a 2.5 year old son and he has an extended cab tundra. Even though the side door opens, it's still a pain and the front seat needs to be pushed forward some. For you I think you would benefit from a QC a lot. A CC might seem okay at first but I think it would get old really quick.

Nice truck. I bought a car from Countryside a few years ago and was very happy. I went on line and offered them $4000 less than asking price and got it. Look the truck up on kbb.com and offer them a price between trade in and wholesale. Good Luck.

That's a nice truck. I'd see if I could get it for $7,000.
