Default Looking to buy this Dakota now!

Hey guys,

Just joined and been on the RAM forum with my current truck, but looking to go to a 4wd truck. Found this one:

http://countrysideautos.com/newandus...-PA-19501.aspx

Clean carfax with no accident reported... I have been looking for another GEN 2 Ram but no luck so far as I have not found one I like, but this looks nice. I think it is a bit over priced and will try to wiggle a bit on it, but looking to go today and drive it!

Things to look for on these trucks? The gas milage will be about the same as my terrible 11.5-12 that I get with my 01 1500 WS and its 2wd!

Thanks guys!

Brad

The truck looks real clean and has low miles. I would buy it.

Anything I should look out for in this generation dakotas, that is any different than the gen 2 rams?

ie- plenum gaskets on intake manifold?
dash covers?

Do they run the same transmissions, with the 4.7L?

Thanks!

That truck seems pretty cherry especially with the low mileage like that - also appears that it only had one owner.
The fact that Carfax documented that the radio was switched out is kind of amazing.
I personally would go for it.

Carfax, I feel, is 99.99% reliable...but when I was researching my truck before I bought it nothing came up. Since I bought it and tinkered with it, it's obvious that there was some degree of frontal passenger-side impact; enough to deploy the airbags and enough to give me trouble when installing my brush guard.
I'm not saying that it's a problem with Carfax because it's really not. I am saying that you should always be vigilant.

Hope that is helpful.

Sweet! Thanks guys!

This Sunday I will find out if I go for this on Monday, my rear diff is making a whining sound in my 01 1500. Hope it just needs some more grease! If not, new truck time!

I just drove some silverados yesterday and they were pretty bad, good shape just didn't drive like a dodge or feel like a dodge truck... I have been dodge for 7 years now, not turning back!

I'll post an update come the weekend, thanks for all your input!
