Default filler neck rusted

Filled the tank for the first time since buying my 99. Noticed gas dripping. Got home, looked underneath and saw the filler neck all rusted. My original part no. had 52102573AA on the attached Chrysler tag. Searching by this part no. did not find any replacements. I did eventually find one at on Amazon sold by moparhq.com. The parts manual lists it as part no. 52127876 (Fig. 14-220) under federal up to 1-4-2009, my manufacture date is 9-98. This is what I bought, worked perfect. I heard of dealer quotes as high as $250. Bought mine for less than $100. Just passing along what may help someone else.

Exclamation well what about this

well what about this maybe some radiator hose that’s about the same size or close cut the correct length slit it to fit if needed and some big hose clamps if you can get that up under this may work.

Or something similar just make sure what you use can take gas and not melt down.

Default

the problem with using hose and clamps is that the gas tank connection has special quick disconnect fittings. I'm not sure if it would seal properly with a hose clamp.
