Default 2" Suspension lift installed + Pics!

Finally got around to installing my suspension lift with my dad and his buddy today. None of us had any experience with torsion bars and let me tell you this, they sure have some tension in them after bending a c clamp. we ended up using a ball joint puller to hold the tension. after we finished the left side and learned from mistakes on that side, the right side was a breeze. then we had moved onto the back and took a little work with that, holding the axle and what not. after that of course one of the lugs on my tire was cross threaded so we snapped the bolt off and had to put a new bolt on. other then that it was pretty simple besides the bad instructions and colorless pictures. ill have pics tomorrow and should be getting a set of 32 x 11.5s in a week or so.

i should have painted my t bars while they were out, since i can now actually see them without looking under the truck.

I opted to add some never-sieze on the tips of the T-bars...in case I have to get them out again. Curious what you did...key re-index?

Yes a C clamp will bend like its made from tin foil. They have actual torsion bar clamps that are huge and are like 4 clamps put together lol The have a hex head screw so you can use a impact on them to take the pressure off the bolt.

Looking forward to before and after pics! I am picking up my 2001 QC tomorrow and looking to do a 2" lift..I am debating between just cranking the torsion bars and an AAL or blocks. But I wont be going to much bigger for tires, just 265/75/16 duratracs for now. I like where it sits right now just want it to be a little taller than stock but I can't stand body lifts lol.

I dunno about you guys, but i can sure tell a difference. i cant wait to crank her up another inch in the front to level her out the rest of the way. I love the feeling of having to actually hop up in my truck!
