See when I did my engine swap it was with no fancy tools. Guess it shows that you can really take apart and replace with just a set of sockets, a few screw drivers, and a BFH. Would I suggest that you should do it yourself in your driveway? No, even though I did. It was a task and a half. I also had vehicles that I could use as forms as back up transportation, so if I F-ed up I could still get where I needed to be.
I remember the first time I drove it after the swap. I heard a loud banging noise when ever I hit the gas, I thought that I forgot to full attach a motor mount, turns out I forgot to completely attach my airbox and it kept smashing into things. Totally freaked me out

Actually that thought crossed my mind the day I came up there I kinda LOL'd at the fact.. "I bet he's getting paid to work on his own truck"

That actually is good that you work somewhere that would allow that.. I know how **** these bosses can be sometimes.
