Wow, those are really nice! I was thinking along the lines of getting some stock Jeep ones. If you've got the money...then go for it. Make sure to set an cai before you install them though, since you will be needing the extra air.

That might be a safer bet, that way if it doesn't work out you won't be out that much money. If you do it let me know how it goes, it might be my next mod.

Default it must wait

Unfortunately it must wait I already spent my months budget on the MAP and O2 and a few other things.

I will try it just not now a month or 2 or 3 depends on things.

My Dakota runs great now so it’s not a must do fix those come first there are a few other things I want first like the new charcoal canister for smog check next July changing out my stock 2.5 TB with the 4.0 has me a bit worried so I want everything in tip top shape in all other areas already changed out all my vacuum lines with new tubing some of that tubing had hardened like a rock and other tubing was getting brittle and cracking.

All the new sensors should help me pass also.

I wouldn't worry too much about the 4.0 tb causing a fail. If you still have the 2.5 one you can swap them just for the test. The only things that really get people in trouble are cams, headers, and cats. In my experience anyway...

Talking AZ not CA now so ??

Well I’m not in CA anymore that’s a plus CA is so tough on smog AZ is a bit more relaxed but not much.

My Dakota is a CA smog cert auto well 1998 smog rules anyway and I have never failed yet I’m going to try with the 4.0 TB and see if it passes AZ smog it may pass no problem.

I will see next August its every two years in AZ for smog check best is drive hard and long just before any smog check it helps so I’ve been told get her hot you can’t get any hotter than August in sunny AZ its usually about 112.

Red face great this last week 74

This is the best time of the year for AZ only 74 and will be great till either May or June then it starts getting 90 to 100 then by July and August 112 to 115.

Funny but I did most of my auto work June till September last year just kind of worked out that way.

Lightbulb Update on MAP

Well it’s been a few days now and I can say without a doubt my Dakota runs soooooo much better with the new MAP.

Wish I had changed it last year very happy with how my truck runs now.
