I want to do a spray on or roll on bed liner in my dakota and I've been trying to find one that I can spray pretty thick and will be some what rubbery. I've used raptor liner in my jeep and it held up well but took a lot of prep work and i'd rather roll it if possible. Does any one have any recommendations on what to use? pics would be awesome also if you have them.

Had my bed done at a place Rhino lining was not cheap and wish I had grabbed the red not black red would of looked cool I think?

Not sure how good the DIY stuff is never tried it.

 

I've used herculiner quite a long time ago, actually. It holds up really well. I'd show you pictures, but since my neighbor backed into the side 5 years ago. The insurance decided to have it done professionally since the bed panel was replaced. I had it on for a good year, and no problems at the time.

i did a diy hurculiner in my buddies nissan. worked good. easy to do.

 

My buddy has herculiner done in his titan and it was pretty easy. I have the kit but I never got around to putting it in my truck.

 

I used the stuff NAPA sells on a utility bodied work truck and it held up really well. Prep was minimal all we did was wash down, let it dry and apply. The truck was used to pick up hvac equipment and haul old furnaces water heaters etc. to recycle. It was a great wearing coating. Oh ya, we applied it with a brush, dry time was great, just let it sit out in the sun and summer heat. We did another with the same stuff in the winter, let it sit in our truck bay overnight, temp was like 45 degrees and that dried great also.

 

I rolled Durabak on my truck 7+ years ago and its held up really well. I only wish I had put on 1-2 more coats and pulled the bed off to do the bottom too. I would recommend that as it will help a lot with rust prevention though I know that is a lot more work.

 

I used the raptor in the past with good luck just not sure if its the most durable.
