Default Is my power steering pressure switch is causing my idling issue?

I have read from my researching and I believe my power steering pressure switch is causing my truck to die when it comes to a stop at a red light or when I'm creeping through a drive thru. How do I know if this is my idling problem because its driving my insane almost everytime I stop at a light my truck dies?

Can anyone help me?

Also this is on my 00 4.7 auto 4x4

Why do you think it's the pressure switch?

When is the last time you cleaned the throttle body?

OK,

Do you have any codes?

If you still think it's a bad power steering pressure switch you'd find power steering fluid in the connectors to the PCM.

Still idling bad after you cleaned the TB? Where did you read this info about the power steering pressure switch being an issue with the idle? I am having similar issues with my Dakota and idling, I would be curious to see the info you read???

Default Well if you cleaned the TB next would be

Well if you cleaned the TB next would be a tune up plugs wires coil cap rotor all very cheap stuff if not done in a long time. Then if still having problems all the sensors is the next step O2, IAC, TPS all those then you’re CAT, muffler or fuel system fuel pump injectors.

Are you running cheap gas through it? Tried a can or two of seafoam or other fuel injector cleaner those do help.

Default I dont think its the power steering pressure switch

I don’t think it’s the power steering pressure switch my switch went bad and I never had any idle problems.

All it does is monitor the presser in the power steering system if low it sends a problem code that’s it.

You say "no cat" in your sig.

What are you doing about the 02 sensors?

I did the non fouler trick to the rear o2 and I just replaced the front o2 last week.

Well I did a tune up last week new plugs, new o2, new air filter, new pcv valve, etc.

And I have ran two bottles of seaoams with fuel, and I only run good non ethanol gas.
