help ctm problem?

Default help ctm problem?

help i got a 2003 dakota when i open the door there is no dome lights no door chime it will only work if the truck is started. also when i press the unlock button on the key fob sometimes the alarm will sound.someone said it is the ctm any ideas and fixes for this before i have to take it to the dealer. thanks

Default door and windows

now the driver side door will only operate the other door locks and windows whats next? any ideas?

It sounds like a ground problem.

2003 is different than the earlier years. You don't have a CTM as such, the instrument cluster itself does all those functions, such as the interior lights, the door locks, security, and the remote keyless entry.

The ground for the cluster is behind the LH kick panel, up near the top of it. There's a lower ground point for other items, you want the higher of the two.

The power windows are hard wired through the switches and do not go through the cluster. Everything originates at and grounds at the drivers door.
