Well a lot of insurance companies will like Allstate "forgive" a first offense or accident. Sometimes it goes up, sometimes it dont.

I just think it should all be relevant. IF you weren't at fault you should in no way have to pay more. If my rates go up I'm calling them and telling them I'm switching insurance companies if they don't keep my rates as they were... not sure if that works but I won't be happy. Like I said, it's a freak thing that happens to anyone and I've never had an actual accident.

I totally agree but alot of the times the amount of money that they have to pay out would take years for them ever to make a profit on again. If everyone always stayed with the same carrier forever then i wouldnt see the reason to go up on an account for a no fault accident along with other things liek speeding tickets and such. I am a consumer as well and i have to deal with the same issues but i do understand to an extent their reasoning. Enough about insurance lol, show us some pics of the repair.

I know state farm has been pretty good to me. My step dad insurance company canceled him after 2 accidents one in 2007(5 k damages) 2009(4k in damages) They just cancelled him in 2011. His last accident was back in 95. I said that was bs he was with them for 20 years with only 3 accidents and they are gonna cancel him and why after 2 years are they canceling him now? They were the type of insurance that only wanted to used aftermarket parts on a brand new truck(year old truck) The body shop even called them and said they weren't gonna fix the truck if they are only paying for aftermarket. I say after so many years of them making money off of you they shouldnt be allowed to raise your price.

Won't able to until next weekend. The accident happened at home in CT but I'm back at school in VT. I'm going down next weekend to get my truck back and I'll take some pictures.
