I have a 2001 dodge Dakota club cab and I'm replacing the speakers myself but I have no idea how to take off the seat belt connected to the trim

Push up on the plastic cover over the seat belt anchor and remove it. Then use a T50 torx socket to remove the anchor bolt.

in some states just any one is NOT allowed to remove, or install, seat belts, you have to be approved by the state. i would not even think about it unless i have a factory service manual. they could have things going on you dont know about. i wouldnt TOUCH it. "not my job"

Your also not supposed to remove your the exhaust pipe after the cat either but people do it including me lol. Small screw driver to pry up the small plastic part at the top then torx to remove it.

Seat belt bolts can be pretty tight to remove, especially if they have never been removed before. Maybe whack the bolt head a few times with a medium sized hammer, or if that does not work maybe you could have someone hit it a few times with a Torx socket on an impact wrench.

Yeah, you need a ratchet and a socket type of torx wrench.
