Question 2000 Dakota Rear End Noise

Ever since I had new shocks put on my 2000 Dakota SLT I have had a rattling in the rear end of my truck. I have replaced the sway bar links and bushings as that is what a mechanic friend suggested. It is still there. Any suggestions?
And no it is not the spare we tightened that up also.

there is a bar behind the rear bumper that is mounted on rubber mounts, not sure what is purpose is. i think its a dampener of some sort. i took mine off because the rubber took a crap and it was rattling and banging on the frame and bumper. look to see if thats your problem. just my $0.02 worth.

I've got it too. Not a quad cab, it's a club cab so no damper. I've changed the bushings and links, and tightened up the spare too, no change.

I can jump on the bumper and hear/feel it. In my case the left rear. It seems to be behind the axle, not the shock. The shock is tight too.

I carried 700 pounds the other day and it still knocked.
