I'm not sure if its the stock muffler from the factory that you have on, but if it is. You have to watch. It has a clamp and its not welded, but you're probably not going to get it off without cutting it anyway. I thought the same thing when I wanted to take off my stock and put on a 50 series. They have it clamped so hard it crimps the metal and makes it impossible to get off without cutting. I've since then got a custom exhaust done with a 40 series and duals. I have the 4.7 V8 though. I love it. I've heard them on V6s before and they do sound good.

It's clamped, and crimped. You're not going to get it off w/out cutting. My buddy and I realized this after about an hour of banging, we cut it off and then we wanted to figure out what the deal was so we cut the clamp area in half and it was crimped to hell.

havnt tried to take it off yet, well now I know what to xpect.

heres the muffler i plan to get

Its a flowmaster, and both tips are going to be on one side. I figure y do what everyone else is doing ( straight out the back, or 1 tip on either side behind the rear tire) hopefully 90 bucks will get me that nice rumble I want!
