Default superchip 3715

I'm looking into buying a vin locked superchip for my dakota. Its the 3715 superchip. Its vin locked so I assume it has to go back to superchip as I've read. I've also heard superchip doesnt offer the reset for these anymore? does anyone know if I will be able to get it reset? Is there a way to get this done besides super chip and the original vehicle?

Nope, needs to be sent to SC to have it re-programmed or the it needs to be plugged into the vehicle it is locked to and reset to be unlocked. I'm not sure if SC stopped resetting them or not but last I knew they still did it.

It would be a lot easier to buy an unlocked one. SC is going to charge you $100 or so to reset a locked one.

superchip emailed me back and said that "We no longer offer this option, we stopped servicing the Max style tuners." so basically if you have a locked superchip your s@i% out of luck. Does anyone have any other way they know of to unlock these? or does anyone have the capability like another company or would any shop be able to do this? thanks
