Default Blower Replacement

Hey guys,

I'm a new owner of a 2002 Dakota Sport (V6). One of my todo items is to replace the blower motor. At discountbodyparts.com, they list two blowers:

part number RBD191506 and RBD191502

The difference seems to be in the connector.

I haven't taken it apart yet to see what connector it currently has.

Any thoughts?

Bill

You should be able to give them your VIN number to ensure you get the correct part.

Call them and ask, before you order the part though. Just to make sure. And if they still can't tell you....I would go through someone else.

I ordered my Blower and Resistor through these guys. As well as some other parts. For me...they were first class all the way and very reasonable as far as price.

Good luck.

Default Thx

Thx for the reference. Interestingly enough the reply I received from drp was

Part number RBD191502 will only replace part with OEM Number CH3126106.
Part number RBD191506 will only replace part with OEM Number CH3126123.

JCWhitney also lists two blowers. 1aauto lists only one. So is it simply that at some point they switched blowers during manufacturing and I need to pull the old one to see which one it takes?

Regards,
Bill

Thumbs up

I pulled the blower and it was working fine. I pulled the blower resistor and found a couple of the circuits open. Got a replacement from the local dealer for $13 and all is good.
