Default Door Hinge pin and bushing

who has replaced there door pin bushings on the dakota yesterday i noticed that mine had some play and the bushing has started to fall apart is there any tricks normally there simple and were did you get them at thanks

Try NAPA they had some for my Chevy truck a few years back.

Ive done it. You can buy a kit at oreillys or advance auto. I think the brand is "HELP!" they will say they will only fit for up to like a 98 or 99, but they will work on yours. You just have to cut the old ones out with a grinder.

Yep, the HELP section at Advance has 'em. I did them 3 weeks ago.
I used a air-chisel-gun to knock the old ones out.
You need two people to do it unless you have a good way to hold
the door steady once the 1st. bolt comes out.

i saw a guy in tv, he showed to get some thin plates, metal of plastic, to put in the spring to un load the spring to get it out, with the hood was just half open. he only showing how to get the spring out.

Ok thanks I was lost I had a hard time finding them for the later years and I didn't think they changed the hinges but thanks
