Default Window regulator compatablity

I have a 2000 Dakota Quad Cab with manual crank windows. The front passenger side regulator is broken, I was wondering what would fit to replace it?

I would assume the extended cab trucks would have longer doors so would have bigger glass than the quad cab and regular cab trucks. Would a regulator from a durango fit? Assumeing the parts stay the same across the two lines.

There are many wreckers in the area so I can likeley find one, I just would like to have an idea what exactly I am looking for before haveing two trucks apart and haveing the wrong part to toss in.

Thank you for your input

You won't be able to use the regulator off of a regular or club cab.

It's not the door size. Your regulator should use cables to raise/lower the window. The regular/club cab use a scissor style regulator - not compatible.

Thanks for the info, any ideas if the Durango regulator would work? You are correct on the cable set up being used in the quad cab. Sounds like I have to search for another base quad cab.

I'm not sure on a Durango. I think they're cable operated but whether they'll fit or not, no clue.

good luck.
