Default DIY Bedliner questions

Hello gentlemen, I've been considering applying the Herculiner product to the bed of my truck and I was wondering if anyone has used it and what their experience with it was? Is the product worth the effort, are there any long term quality issues with it? I just don't want to spend the $100 and all that time and effort if it is going to crack or flake off. Thanks in advance for any advice or experiences.

i was really leary about doing herculiner but I ended up doing it and it looks great. I love the surface. I did u pol raptor before inside my jeep wrangler and it was alot more expensive. It looks good but was 5 times the work and sprayed in. Herc is good looks good has held up to me beating it up with out any problem. Just do the prep. Scuff the bed up good. Wash it out. Wipe it down and roll in the herc. They also have a uv coating that u can put on after I still need to get it but it keeps it from fading and restores the shine

Thanks again for the responses. I think once the weather warms up a bit I will get to it and let you all know how it turns out.

like I said I was against it but it came out really good and I put mine in when it was about 55 out so not the warmest and it came out great. Isnt as shiny as it was when I got it but I havnt put the UV protectant over it yet. You can really do that ay any point. It says it will restore shine and prevent fading.

My ram has the actual rhino liner in it and it looks good but for what you pay imo its not worth it. I have a few buddys with it and they like it seems to hold up well.

Default Question

I don't mean to hi-jack but I had a question about anyone's Herculiner application experience.

Will 1 gallon of Herculiner cover an average truck bed properly or would you suggest getting an additional gallon?

My bed needs to be redone - it's flaking pretty bad and I know rust will be next, if I don't act in the next few months.

1 gal does a 6.5 foot bed. They say if you are doing more than that then you need to get extra.
