Default taurus or HHR fan? (current draw)

So here's my thought. I have a switch panel with 3 switches- 2 unused and 1 for my HID's. I'm thinking to put the fan on a relay, where normally connected is low speed, and energized is high speed. That way it's always on with the ignition (switched by a second relay), and I can put it on high speed if need be during summer. I have a 180 stat so I don't think that will be very often.

My main question, is I know both the taurus and HHR fan will fit, but which can a relay hold? I've read the taurus pulls the better part of 50 amps on high, and you have to use a solenoid? The relays in my switch/relay box are standard bosches, not sure on limit, maybe 20A? I suppose I could get a 50A if I needed to, but is it "safe" to relay that high of a current?

The relays I have used on items were rated @ 40 amps. I would think you could get higher amp rated relays.
