Default rear differential hum?

2000 dakota 4.7 when im driving i get a hum but only at certan speeds/rpms, could this be the differential ? i think i have a wheel bearing that still needs replacing back there could that be it? if it is the differential what do i need to fix it? id like to swap the gears out for maybe a 4:10 (3:55 from factory) what other trucks could i swap the gears out of? starting to feel like i shoulda bought the toyota instead of the v8..

It could definitely be a bad wheel bearing.

the noise only happens whenever the gas is being applied. and i fugured out that it is a front wheel bearing that needs replacing anyway
