Default O2 Sensor for Dakota

I replaced my rear 02sensor in my 2000 Dakota. Getting codes for both front and back sensors. Why is it still giving me a code for the rear if I just replaced it? Could a bad front sensor make the rear sensor code as well? I'm going to replace the front and see what happens. Any help or opinions would help. Not exactly a mechanic here. Thanks.

What codes are you getting?

What brand sensor did you install. Bosch does not work well with most Dakota's.

I had heard about the bosch so I stayed away from them. Installed NTK sensors. Codes were P0135 and P0141. Front and rear sensors. I just installed both new and the problem is still happening. Haven't plugged back in for any new codes. Heard it might be the crank position sensor or the idle air valve? Any opinions would help.

What engine? CA emissions? Probably not since you say two sensors.

How's the fuse? Fuse A, 15 amp in the PDC.

Hopefully this will be a help:

After initially failing my PA inspection/emissions last month, I replaced my O2s with NGK/NTK plugs (replaced them a week or two ago). I got a good 100+ miles before my CEL tripped back on. I ran it again through an ODBII and it registered that I was running lean - I'm guessing that I have a bad gasket on a/the manifold(s).

Have you rechecked it through the ODBII since you replaced the O2s?
I don't have the codes for my problem, sorry about that.

Just trying to help
