new motor?

Default new motor?

So finally found a place to do my head gaskets an they said ill prolly need new heads an but they will let me know for sure next week just wondering maybe itd be better to just get a whole new motor if so where could i find a 4.7 ho? Or where can i buy good heads

i would check ebay they always seem to have the best deals on the H.O.

ebay, but avoid a company called midwest transmission distributors.

If they're going to replace the heads, getting a new motor is most likely a better option. They will spend just as much time replacing both heads as it will take to pull the motor and put in a new one. Plus if they buy new heads they will be as expensive as a used motor.

If you can get some junk yard heads and do it your self you would probably spend the least amount of money. If it's your primary vehicle this may not be an option since it will probably take you a couple days and you may run into issues. I helped my friend do the head on his Jetta and it took us 8 hours...
