Default Want better A/C one trick

I just learned a little trick to get better A/C install a cutoff valve on your heater hose all you do is cut your hose and install a ball cutoff valve made for the PEX home water system fits perfect all this does is stop the hot radiator water from circulating through your HVAC box inside your cab.

I think this trick works best on 97 to 2000 model Dakotas.

Most new autos have these but our older Dakotas do not

Think about it would you want hot water flowing through your cab in the HOT summer?

I forgot to say one thing in the winter all you do is switch it back on and you have Heat.

Talking Well I did not

No one said anything to me out in Hot AZ and that is strange I also learned to use some of that home pipe insulating foam around the low side port tubing and that helps some also.

I lived in southern California for many years and didn’t need A/C till I moved to Arizona so I never looked into it but now that I live in AZ you need all the help regarding your A/C you can.

wel it was really 2 as my first. a 1949 ply course it was a 6 cyl $50. be cause ply didn have a v-8 till 1955. and plys didnt have the hemi in the 50s. plys first hemi was in 1964, race ver, street hemi didnt come out till 1966. my second/first car was 1930 ford model "A". full straight gears NO SYNCRO. the flywheel was 50 lbs, at idle it didnt matter how you let the clutch out, the flywheel would pull it.

Can you show a pic of it on your truck?
Also, what is the size needed? 1/2'. 3/4'?
I found a 1/2' on E-bay. But that's about it.

Default This is it

This is what I picked up and it fit perfect to the 5/8 heater hose like a glove.

Ignore the Lowes pic it shows 1/2 it’s not it’s the 3/4
