Exclamation 2003 Dakota Body Lift Problem...

I have everything done on my trucks body lift...except for the steering extension. When I place it properly on the upper steering shaft, the intermediate shaft is not long enough to reach the extension. Has anyone else had this problem? Should the intermediate shaft telescope up and down at all? I'm at a loss of what to do right now...ANY help is appreciated. This is the only thing keeping my Dakota off the road right now!

This is what I am talking about...

Yes they usually telescope a little on most vehicles. NOTE* i have never done one on a Dakota.

Well yes the steering column does telescope some. I recommend tightening that thing as hard as you can... that way you don't get that pop in the steering.

Body lift is pretty easy - but the steering column will take some time cause it's a little frustrating, keep calm and you'll be fine.

Steering shaft has some movement up & down. Loctite the bolts.
