Default New 2003 dakota, got some questions!

Just picked up this 03 dakota extended cab 4x4.

Got a few questions such as :
which size tires can I put on? (needs new ones soon think they are 265-70-16 stock)
It has the 4.7 v8, how is it on gas? Anything to make it better for cheap?

Also wondering where I can find out certain packages that it has or doesn't have (like lsd rear, offroad package, 5 or 4 speed auto? )

Thanks!

The 4.7 is pretty decent on gas, around 20 i think. As for specs and packages, you can email your VIN to Chrysler and they'll send you everything you want to know.

Or you can go to your local dodge dealership and ask for a build sheet for your truck, all you'll need is your vin #. It will also tell you the stock tire size.

Ok also how hard are the rear sway bar bushings, rear diff seal, and front seal to change? They all need to be done soon

Sway bar bushings are easy. Do you mean the diff cover gasket?

Well I was quoted $683 for front seal, rear pinion seal, service rear diff, both rear sway bar links and transmission service. Does this seem good?

Also who do I email the vin to get the original specs?

Look for the Sticky post at the header of this page. Will give you some good info. One thing quite a few folks have done to help with MPG's is to remove the clutch fan.
