Default '04 Sport radio wiring diagram?

Hey guys, I have an '04 Sport with a stock cassette, so I bought a basic Sony head unit, Metra dash kit, antenna adapter, and wiring harness kit.

Problem is, the wiring harness kit comes in two pieces; a large plug (which came with a wiring diagram) and a much smaller one with no diagram.

Can anyone point me to a wiring diagram for the sound system?

Thanks! Carl

The picture you linked looks like the one that goes directly into the head unit.

The wiring harness specific to your truck has 2 plugs yes, but only one should fit the factory plug.

Scroll down to Amp Install Step 10 for a picture.

That's my wiring harness, the grey one that I am holding is the one that plugs into the factory connector, the grey one below is that smaller one you're talking about, you don't use it. Then the wires are soldered to the ones on the stereo harness which is the black connection on the bottom (this one fits in your headunit). Just match the colours together and you're good to go!

Thanks for the detailed reply!

Yeah, turns out the smaller 10-pin plug is for the cd changer, which I don't have. Easy, peasey.

Ahh alright - had no idea you could even get a CD changer in a Dakota (unless its for another Chrysler since that harness is universal).

Glad it worked out for ya!
