Default Front Right CV axle replacement

Anyone have a step by step on how to do this to a 2002 Dakota 4.7 4WD

I have done them on plenty of cars, just never on a truck with a torsion bar set up

Thanks!!!

Same way you would on any vehicles with CV axles, pop the wheel bearing out, and pull it through there, or pop the lower ball joint, yank it out of the wheel bearing and pull it out from there.

I undid the 3 bolts holding the balljoint to the upper control arm. Then its just a matter of turning the wheel to full lock and undoing stuff until you can get it out, and just reverse the process for putting it back together. It really wasn't that hard.

I may have to do mine - how do you know that it is bad? I was also told I should do both axles and stub shafts on the front end. I assume that they will be half the price from rocauto than locally (canada) I just don't want to buy them and find out they are not bad...
