Default leaky driver side cv boot

the clip that holds my cv boot on the hub side has fallen off and i just noticed it the other day. would i be able to just use a hose clamp to tighten it down? my other question is that it looks like i lost a fair amount of grease, should i somehow fill it up again? final question if yes to that how?

Get a thin grease gun attachment like you would use for greasing and impact gun, slide it in, throw a few squirts in, then use a zip to close it back up.

Any thick grease really, I just use bearing grease for everything. Chocolate color is because it's used grease.
