Hello,![Mad](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif)
I bought an 04 Dakota 3.7 ,replaced passengers side head and passengers side front piston, The truck cranks many times before starting, once running it runs awesome, till I get it up to 2500 rpm's then it acts like it has a rev limiter coming into play.
I got the head from a salvage yard and sent it to the machine shop for pressure testing and a shave, when I picked up the head I told them to get rid of the old head not thinking about the cam or trigger wheel in the head is the original for my truck now its gone and I have this problem.
I've taken all the chains and gears out of the motor/and cleaned everything up to Identify the plated links and marks on the gears.
@ This point it's perfectly in time and I still have this problem.
My main question is it possible that the trigger wheel from one 3.7 engine be different from another separated by a few years or possibly model
of the vehicle?
