wouldnt have believed it if i didnt see it. i just changed the power steering pressure switch last night and followed the harness to the ecm and sure enough the first plug closest to the firewall had ps fluid in it. cleaned it out I know oils are not conductive so there shouldnt be anything to worry about but damn what a crazy design

Yeah, it is crazy. I've had it happen too.

Glad you found it. It's not the oil that's conductive, it's all the crud and dirt that can collect that might be conductive.

Lots of contact cleaner. It was all I could think of at the time. You won't get all of it out but it will stop weeping along the wire eventually.

Clean it, check it in a week, then check it again in a month or two.

Default it's a sensor

This may or may not be helpful, but my son's 2000 had the same problem, and it is some kind of sensor that is on the PS pump. He warned me about it since I have an 04 Dak, but they have eliminated the sensor on the 04. You might check posts here and for Durangos (other son had Durango that did the same thing) to see what you can find.
