Well I would suggest getting it taken care of before you have more problems; My Wife's Jeep Grand Cher. just busted the Rad; and Had to replace on the fly from Super O's for 200 bucks (everything) just cus it was clogged up and didnt even relize it. ONly had the damn thing a month and no signs before hand other than higher than usl. temps.. but I thought it was in range being it was sitting right below 210 most the time.. stupid me.

I would get it checked before you wind up with no ride brother.

I think I will go with a new Rad.
Any thoughts on these brands?

Silla
Prime Choice
Spectra
Vista Pro
there are a few others on E-bay

Thanks for feedback

I would suggest Radiatorbarn.com if you have a day to wait for it ,,, i use them quite often and you can live chat with them on the site if you have questions , they come with full warranty and 100 % customer satisfaction !!

Cool I suggest a local rad shop

All too much stuff gets damaged in shipping, a rad I don’t like thinking about that. Sometimes I think UPS and FEDEX drivers get paid more to deliver damaged stuff with the amount of damaged stuff I get.

Local you see it feel it and know it will work.

Now here is some info about rads 85% of the time what you get is a remanufactured rad not new. If you ask is it new they will say NEW but it is a reman not new you need to be very specific when you ask them if it’s a factory new or a reman as far as they are concerned reman is new but it’s NOT.

Be very demanding you want NEW as new from the factory not reman new.

Or what you are getting is a remanufactured rad not NEW

Think about it like this you can destroy an engine in seconds with a poor quality rad that craps out on you your rad should be a quality part so you can depend on it keeping your engine alive for many years.

Rads up in the stores are shipped to them too.. Just bought a Murry because i had to have it right then.. it was shipped to the store.. from the vendor. You cant always rely on that..

Important part is to inspect your shipments when it arrives and take pictures BEFORE you open the box.

Or go with RockAuto or Summit as well.. (I know ebay is a little cheaper)

Default 2000 was a change over year so be sure its correct

2000 was a change over year so be sure it’s correct. The older Dakotas had the rad mounted on the inside of the front cross member the newer ones mounted on the outside or you could say directly under the front cross member sounds strange but they made the change and it works without any modifications to the frame.

Just be sure

My older Dak 1998 with it mounted to the inside look for the rad cap.

This is a newer rad mount its hiding under the cross member no thats not my other Dak I wish.

On the 4.7 the rad cap is on the top hose, so the Radiator there will be no hole for the cap. Still haven't decided on a Radiator yet. Look at a quite few on different sites. E-Bay has some good prices on some. Just being selective and trying to found the right one.

If it was me*** in my Truck; I would find an upgraded version if you can find one that the price is right on that is all Aluminum and not plastic/Alum. Those plastics ones seem to always be cracking there at the seam between the plastic/alum.

Just my .02

Default X 2 on that

I agree if you have the cash all aluminum

I have had two stock rads crack open at the plastic top on me both times in normal city driving not even stressing the system.
