all dodge guys, i have a 2002 dakota with key broken off in ign, tried using other half and rocking wheel no luck. any tricks would be appreciated.

 

Well I've never had that problem but thought if you could put a little super glue on the end of a small stick or other half of key and then stick it in for a couple min till glue sets up and try pulling it out??

 

paper clip, straighten, small 90 bend. just a guess

 

The thing about super glue is you run a risk of gluing the key in. You can call a lock smith and ask them if they are able to pull a broken key out. If not you are gonna have to replace the ignition switch.

 

Not sure about the ignition, but I just pulled a key out of a friends door on his civic - looked like someone tried to break in.

I know it's not the best idea but I drilled a hole on one side of the key and grabbed pliers and a pair of tweezers and eventually wiggled it out.
