mine slips every now and then about 1 maybe twice a month-two months, woulc changing the filter and fluid fix it?

and im going to be driving from atl to daytona moving in august, will the trans make it that dist with a 318?

It might help. Luckily its all flat roads so you should be fine. Are you going to be towing?

yea, i got a little 4*8 home made trailer im gonna have some stuff on, mainly the v6 out of my truck.

other than that my suitcases, me and one other person haha

Like I said its mostly flat so you will be ok and you wont be hard on it so it will hold up.

but if i do go ahead and change it, is there anything i need to change? and will my speedo be off after the swap.

No. If possible it would be easier to find a donor vehicle to make that swap that way you have all the parts and wont have to run around to find things. If you cant do that find a good engine with the tranny connected to it that will make the swap a little easier.

ok, yea that would be easier. how much would it cost to get a 3.92 regear kit?

as a matter of i fact, i just found one out of a 2000 ram, with 140k miles for $350, engine trans computer and wiring.


what all do i need to do to wire in the 2 extra injectors?

Regear will depend on the quality gears you pick. Any where from 200-400.00 For one axle. Then depends who installs it. I think most run about 800-1,000 if a shop does it. If I remember correctly the ram 5.2 uses a different oil pan then the dakota.

mines only 2wd anyways, i want to put 32 on it after i got the 318 in, i just want my speedo to be correct
