Default Round air cleaner?

Anyone else running one?

I picked a 10" Edelbrock round air cleaner today and I put it on. I notice a little difference, but it could just be in my head. I'm not totally sure if I'm going to keep it yet, but so far I like it, and taking out the big air box really cleaned up the engine bay. Has anyone who's been running one for awhile have any complaints?

Thanks!

I had one (I'm selling) with spectra air filter, there was a noticeable difference; I did not keep because I want to go with a snorkel/ram air

But you can gain some performance* (how quickly the engine responds and increases RPM) you don't gain actual HP as far as I know;.. just how the engine responds. (Raps out)

Some people will argue your going to suck in hot air with it.. well sorry to tell them so will their short Ram so called "CAI" because its sucking in hot air too.. and even hotter if they have the fan pushing all the hot air to factory side (the right side of the tuck)

Engine temps get the hottest that side from what i can tell with my truck when i had my stock fan shroud.. engine is closer and the spin off- off the fan.

Other than make the engine bay look a little bit cleaner its not going to do anything. Remember hot air rises so thats all its suckin in. At least cai setups sit in behind the rubber flap behind the grille so it is getting a lot more cold air.

Nice old school look. Selling the air cleaner and everything to hook it to throttle body.

dodgeramguy I would have to disagree partially; yes you are correct heat does rise; but technically I took readings where a CAI (Short Ram) would sit vs the top of the engine and it's actually hotter there... the right side of the truck seems to be alot hotter than the other side. Engine is closer to that side as well as the spin off from the fan seems to go in that direction because it's offset with the motor> or w/e.

Now if you block it off completely from the engine bay and are only getting outside air only.. then we are talking.

I tried both and was about the same but did seem to have a little quicker response out of either.
