Default the bolt or the shock?

the bolt or the shock?

Did the bolt snap or the eye of the shock snap?

If the bolt just buy a new bolt from Home Depo or a special hardware store.

Wouldn't drive around with shock just hanging. Like 98 said go to hardware store and get a new bolt. Or if you have pick and pull yard near just go and get one there.

If just the bolt then I'd say go with what 98 said. As far driving without a shock goes. You won't hurt anything but your back from bouncing so much. All shocks do is control the spring rates and comfort the ride.

The bolt snapped but the shock was toast so im not putting the shock back in and thanks i wasn't sure if it would damage other moving parts i love my truck but everything is going wrong right know just had a wheel cylinder pop i need new shocks all around the guy that had the truck before me had the torshion bars cranked all the way down so the truck was sitting on a fully compressed suspension the rear has 3inch blocks in the leafs but the tops of the shocks have a ton off play like the brushings are toast if anyone knows a decent brand of shock for a good price let me know.

Monroe probable be decent cheap brand. Still need to get bolt, so maybe you can go to local pick-n-pull yard and see whats what. Wheel cylinders are cheap and easy to replace. If the torsion bars are all way down and the rear has 3 inch blocks it has to be sitting funny.

If im ok to drive it with the shock im gonna do that till i can get a good set i have rough country on it right now but the shock that i pulled off cause the bolt snapped was toast anyway but the other three all the brushings are toast so im going to have to replace them but i will run them till i get a new set least those ones still cushion the missing one a bit. Yes the truck sat pretty funny back was in the sky and front was in the weeds lol

You can drive as long as you want with out a shock. Just be careful going to too fast around corners, the back end will swap a little. It's not going to damage anything by not having a shock, your ride is just going to feel like you driving a low rider that bounces around every where.
