6th gear Added to 45RFE!
sl2racer, I used to tow a regular, single axle caravan that probably weighed no more than 2500 pounds, using the regular receiver hitch and there's no comparison! The 5th wheel tows so much nicer. Saying that, I'm not sure how it would handle the kind of weight you're talking about, I think you'd be over the towing capacity of any Dakota. Can't imagine mine with twice the weight on it!
Moparman, thanks for the advice. I'll give the contacts a clean and see how it goes.

ohh i know it is over the tow capacity. it's over by 3000-4000lb but the trailer has some decsent brakes on it which helps. i have a large trans cooler and usually only tow 3 to 4 times a year at about a 200 mile round trip. gas mileage sucks but gets the job done. i need to get some airbags for the rear just haven't done it yet. the rest of the time i only pull a jet ski, 4000lb camper and my race car every now and then. would love to get a 5th wheel camper instead.
i would also like to note the trailer in my sig is long gone and not what i am refering to. that is my race car though. when i tow the mud truck i use a 3500lb equipment trailer and truck is a 1992 f150 single cab long bed 4x4 with 302 and 35" boggers with large steel front and rear bumpers.
