Question Need help

Hey guys,i have problem about true duals exhaust.Last week i bought my new pair of header(Gipson) and my set of 2 mufflers(Flowmaster super44).But the only thing can't find is the hi-flow converter they just make them direct fit (2 in 1 ) like ''Y'' pipes assembly and cost too much for my budget. My truck is a Dakota 4.7 4x4 2004 crew cab.If someone saw those cat by itself would be very appreciated or if not, maybe someone have already did this mod?

Cat choices are slim due to the limited space between the engine and frame if you put them back in the stock location. Not sure how much room you have since I don't have a 4x4, but I did true duals using stock exhaust manifolds and Magnaflow Universal cats p/n MPE-94165 right off the manifolds. I added an X on the passenger side after both pipes start running straight again. I added 2 Magnaflow 4x9 mufflers sitting side by side where the stock muffler was. I purchased another OEM over the axle pipe and ran it along side the existing over the axle pipe to have both pipes exiting side by side at the stock location behind the passenger wheel.

It's not show quality and won't win any contest, but its solid, doesn't rattle or leak and sounds and feels so much better than stock. It's very easy to do TD's on these trucks if you have access to a welder......at least compared to the TD's I built for my Trans Am. lol
