Exclamation Gas with Ethanol (E10) makes for crappy running engines

Last week my 2.5 was running like crap and figured it was the excessive heat of summer 112 that is until I noticed the gas station I was using was selling me Gas with Ethanol (E10). Yesterday I used another gas station with lower Ethanol now my 2.5 runs way better.

Beware Ethanol (E10).

I know out here on the East Coast, you can't get gas without 10% ethanol. I thought it was a Federal law now.

Default not sure in AZ

You may be right Im not sure in AZ I need to check and be sure thats not the rule of norm now I hate Ethanol it screws up your engine. That may be why Bosch O2 sensors dont work so well for V6 and V8 users.

I was trying to find out what the norm is now but cant find any answers

Well I'm up in Canada and i'm pretty sure I've seen 12 and 15% ethanol gas. Definately 10 which is what I fill up with - nothing lower.

moe7404 that’s my thinking also started using it last week doesn’t ethanol dry out your gas suck the lubricants out of the gas. Any alcohol is a drying agent is my understanding

Gas doesn't have any lubricants in it at all. E10 works just fine in my 99 V6. I thought it was federal law. It is state law in Missouri.

In some states you can find non ethanol premium. Go to walmart, in the marine section and buy some star-tron. Get stuff its a ful stablizer and it negates the ethanol in the fuel. I think the small bottle in $8-9 and it treats 128 gallons. Dirrections on the back.

Default Ethanol is garbage and does nothing to clean our air

Ethanol is a joke at best and will never replace gas not even close and is not proven to do anything for cleaner air they say it’s dirtier than gas.

I like how all these green fantastic cures always end up as massive boondoggles that go nowhere.

You will never be able to produce enough Ethanol to reduce our need for gas it’s just impossible.

Read the proof http://seekingalpha.com/article/7180...anol-is-a-scam
