Default Wheel spacers to fit 33X10.50's

I just put some 33X10.50 BFG mudders on my 99 Dak. I'm rubbing a bit on the frame at full lock. I just dropped nearly $1000 on tires so new wheels aren't in the budget.

Does anyone know what size spacers I'll need to clear these tires without rubbing the frame?

mine are 11.5 inches wide and i ended up getting 1inch adaptors off of ebay. full look i can stick my fingers between frame and tire. you will need to grind the wheel studs back a bit if you go that route.

I'm picking these up soon. I'm running the BFG a/t 33x12s and i rub. they have a 5% off offer so they're 78 bucks for a pair.

So you guys think some 1" spacers would be enough for my 33X10.50's?

I think 1/2" would be plenty, myself.

Just a heads up. Wheel spacers destroy wheel bearings so keep an eye on the hubs once you get the spacers on

I heard to go 1.5" so you dont have to grind off any of the old lug nuts.

It shouldn't be any different than rims with less backspacing though right?

I don't mind grinding if it means getting a better fit. I've also heard that moving them out too far will make me hit the inside of the fenders easier.

If 1/2" will really clear these tires I'll probably go that route.

No, the spacers change the acting point of the vehicle's weight on the hub. The vehicle's weight will always act at the hub, but any moment from the hub to the tire supporting contact point on the road, will damage the bearings.

Like magnethead said. I'm running a 1" wheel spacer on my front end right now BC I need different rims due to my suspension but I've gone through 4 wheel hubs in the past year and a half but I'm beating up my truck in the desert constantly so that also is taken into account
