02 Dakota 3.9 Not Starting
Not that it matters but this is my Son's DD Truck. A few weeks ago he pulled in his driveway and it was running perfect. He shut it off for an hour or so and it's never started since.
- It cranks over perfect
- All plugs have spark
- Get's fuel to the rail (haven't checked pressure but it flows very rapidly!)
- #1 plug sparks at about tdc
- I've checked every fuse and relay
- No codes on code reader
- Compression is 120-140 on all 6
- Exhaust smells like raw fuel after cranking for a minute or two
- I've reseated the plugs going to the computer
- Tried dumping raw fuel into the intake, same results
- Voltage is present at all injectors
It seems to me that it's something simple. I've read hundreds of posts on this site and others where most of the issues are with the crank or cam sensor but those usually result in no spark.
What I seem to find odd is that it sounds like it sometimes tries to fire on the exhaust stroke (kind of a hollow sound).
Wondering if any others have seen this scenario?
Thanks in advance!
