Default Help!

I have a 00 r/t n I had to replace my cat n I currently have a magnaflow highflow cat but I have a check engine light now . since is on should or could I go straight pipe with out it affecting anything from computer or my timing?

What code do you have?

Does your state require emissions testing?

I'm not sure about the code yet honestly. and yes my state requires emissions but I get them under the table so that I'm not worried about. do you think I should go straight pipe?

I wouldn't remove or replace it unless necessary.

Check the code, it may not have anything to do with the cat.

Starting with the key off, turn the key on but don't start it. Then key off, key on, key off, then leave the key on.

The codes will display in the odometer window.
