Sean, maybe this is something I can work on if I ever get to a dyno shop with O2's.

Idles around 600, Has a real bad hesitation/slow acceleration up to 2000, then rocketships to 5000 in a heartbeat, drops to 3300 in second gear. I know I have some vacuum leaks that need fixing, but it's almost like it's dead rich up till 2K then leans out?

It definitely screams alot smoother from 3500 up to 5, I can tell the difference simply in how fast it makes RPM. I haven't put your updated tunes on it yet, need to get my windows laptop back in order and do the SCT update (I'm on mac 95% of the time).

Efan convert is next mod...starting, 4 hours ago.

From last August: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/street-...the-track.html

I haven't one back to the track since I went to 4.10's.

vacuum leaks are more apparent at idle and very light throttle low rpm. Get those fixed. If the rockers you installed are adjustable ones make sure you followed the right sequence for setting lash

Will do. Found lots of dried out and cracked hoses while I was under there.

Solids, non adj.

Alright, I'm convinced. I think I'll install the 1.7's next month (after the wife gets over all the money I spent changing the gears this month, lol).

BTW, my average gas mileage is about 11.7 now (according to my little overhead display) with 33-inch tires, 4.10 gears, and a corrected speedometer.

magnethead just wondering if you got the hesitation thing figured out? I am wanting to do this mod to my Dakota but not sure if I want to deal with the hesitation issues. I wonder if a larger throttle body say off of a 5.2 would correct that issue. Update on progress please.
