Exclamation Help: ABS/ Brake Light

I was driving recently when my BRAKE light and ABS light lit up. I went to my mechanic and he was able to give me code 65. Ive done some research and people are saying Speed Control Sensor located on the rear differential, my only doubt is I have experienced the loss of my speedo...yet.

Any ideas?

Thanks

common thing happened to both my dakotas, replaced ABS sensor at top of rear axle housing and prolly a good idea to replace rear diff fluid and clean the magnet off, very light metal shavings(dust) float around in rear diff fluid. once magnet gets filled up they adhere to sensor, messing up all sots of things, it affected my wifes brakes, speedo, abs light, I have heard of guys just changing out the fluid, cleaning the magnet and speed sensor and having that work too..brake cleaner works good to clean out the entire carrier housing

Mine went off at one point due to low brake fluid which was caused by the break pads being worn to thin.

I replaced speed control sensor, fluids are good, and I don't see any blown fuses. Sounds like ABS sensor is last. How much of a pain was that to do? And I'm assuming you had to go to dealership for replacement parts.

Thanks fellas
