Default CEL: OD- reads 12 Help please

Today the truck was bouncing while creeping pretty hard; it throw a CEL for a change..

Don't have time to go to Autozone and get it read; key on/off/on/off/on all lights including cel go off.. and OD: reads 12.. other threads indicate a "Loss of power" but it was idling and never lost power.. I'm lost.. No other codes present.. Truck Details in my heading.

Any info would be helpful.

Put new plug in.. still the same.. wire seems fine; swapped it out.. cap/rotor is new so i know its not that and It's getting spark.. so maybe compression issue or injector?

I hope I'm not talking to myself here.. Starting to pull out hair.

I think the injector is sticking at idle. Thinking of doing a full power flush on it.

no the plug is 100%.. I even dropped a new one in it.. and it was doing it's little bounce like crazy at idle again even with diff wire (which they are fairly new) and a bran new plug.

Cap/Rotor was just replaced just because... a bout month-two months ago.

The new plug had signs it was firing.. so my conclusion is.. the only time it will trip a code is at idle... rolling.. right off a stop... if you let it just sit there and bounce (when its doing it harder than normal) and it threw the code. This same thing happened a year or so ago.. in a Taco Bell drive through. Same cyl. and everything.

I think this is my gremlin on this issue I've had forever and though I cleared before.

I threw some STP injector cleaner in the tank for now just because that's all i had access too.. and ran the dog crap out of her.. she is not bouncing/shaking as bad..

I'm considering the Power Flush from Wally World.. or seeing if Christian Brothers has the same kinda service for the same price.. I just have a hard time imagining Walmart doing anything to my Truck.

My brother was gonna come do compression test on the motor just to check things out.. but he rather go watch UFC than help his brother.. SO his low life *** bailed on me.. I'll have to get a gauge and do it myself i guess.

remember we're not DI, so even if the injector is hanging, it's just flooding at the valve seat, not in the cylinder. At WOT it's not as much of a difference, we actually have floated valves at 7400 RPM in the camaro (and burned valve seats and intake runners as a result). But at idle, the valve is closed a much more amount of time, so all it'll do is puddle at the valve seat then pour into the cylinder when valve opens. If there's an inordane amount, it may just run down the cylinder walls and puddle on the rings, then burn rich.

I know frm doing my RR's that the plugs are a bit of a pain, but have you tried unplugging the injector temporarily and seeing if it runs better? It's like pulling plug wires until it doesn't misfire more b/c that hole was already dead. Here you're doing opposite, going from a rich cylinder to a lean one and seeing if it changes anything (obviously the engine will be out of balancce with only being on 7.)

just a thought

Thanks; this thread was to just address number 7 being it seems to be my grimlin.. why it misfires is unknown to me.. i think i will still get the pressure cleaning service for the entire injector system..

But in reality my problem is deeper than just No. 7

If you read this guy's head line; this is my problem at the end of the day.

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...n-misfire.html

I thought I cleared it before but I didn't.. Sometimes it's harder than other' and when that happens like i said in my first post.. it will throw a code if i let it sit there and do it..
