Here are the results from my first readings -
Battery is connected on both positive and negative and reads 12.6

Multimeter set to DCV 20
Black plug in Com, red plug in Ω

Pin 1 is driver side door
Pin 2 is passenger side door
Pin 18 is hot wire
Both doors closed:
Pin 1: 0
Pin 2: 12.6
Drivers door only open:
Pin 1: 12.6
Pin 2: 12.6
Passenger door only open:
Pin 1: 0
Pin 2: 12.6
Both doors open:
Pin 1: 0
Pin 2: 12.6

Pin 2 has read the same no matter what.

There is something odd with door switch #2. It should be reading 12v when the door is open only.

Can you disconnect that door switch?

Then see what happens.

I'm thinking a bad door switch is telling the dome light to come on. When you move the **** on the headlamp switch out of the first detent you enable the lights.

Is that the plug above the CTM where the wire from the door comes into the body?
I'll see if I can unplug it.

I'm not sure as it's different with power locks.

It has two wires, black with light blue tracer and a black with light green tracer.

I think you've have a bad switch.

These are manual locks and I found the illustration in the manual. It looks like 2 plugs that go through the door. I can feel the plug and see the plug but cannot figure out how the clasp is holding it together.

I have power, that's why I said it was different

It looks like there is a tab on the connector. Here's a picture.

I'm wondering if that is inside the door itself or if that's part of the coupling between the door and the body?

From Dodge:

DOOR AJAR SWITCH
The door ajar switch is integral to the door latch
unit. If the door ajar switch is faulty or damaged, the
entire door latch unit must be replaced. Refer to
Group 23 - Body for the door latch service procedures.
DOOR LOCK

Looks like you need to open the door.
