Hi. I have it in my mind to paint my my 04 grill black to match the black I painted my wheels.

I looked at the grill and it looked like I could either detach the grill from the tubular frame that holds it to the hood or detach the grill from the tubular frame.

Detaching the grill from the frame seemed the easiest however after removing the 4 bolts holding it to the fram, I notice some sort of hardware holding it to the hood on the top of the grill.

I cannot see how to remove this hardware to free the grill. Worse, even if I try to remove the grill by removing the frame I would still have the problem of the hardware attaching it to the hood.

Am I going about it all wrong? Am I missing something? Please help.

Never mind. I figured it out.

There are 4 bolts on the bottom of the grill and 7 along the top of the grill. After removing all 11 bolts the grill pulled right off.
