Question Shift kit

Would anyone know of a good shift kit to improve torque on a 2004 dakota 4X4 and a 3.7

had good luck with B&M. Haven't use them on a Dakota though.

I'm pretty sure that your truck has the RFE545 gearbox. Its FULLY electronically controlled so a regular shift-kit (stronger springs etc) won't work as the pressure sensors will compensate for any increase in pressure the new springs generate.

What you need is this

It made a big difference on mine, after a conventional kit failed to do anything. It just plugs in, so no dropping the pan to fit.

that is the V8 trans and i have a V6 trans (a 42RE i think)

I believe all three *.7 motors use the 545 but I could be wrong. Only the magnums use the 4*RE i believe.
